Post 275 Mission

The American Legion Post 275 Moon Brothers is a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. We are a wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers, veterans, community, and families.

 

Post 275 Vision

The American Legion Post 275 Moon Brothers vision is to be a leading advocate for our local military, veterans, community and families in Americanism, National Security, Veteran Affairs & Rehabilitation and Children & Youth!” We accomplish this by supporting the following locally:

Americanism:

– For God and Country – Non-denominational and non-sectarian, the Legion’s support for religion in the public square is basic Americanism
– Independence Ball (Saturday before Veterans Day – recognition of local Veterans, Business, and citizens)
Memorial Oaks
– Parades (Memorial Day, 4th of July)
– Dignified Disposal of American Flags (Flag Day – June 14)
– Special Ceremonies (Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans, Support of Vietnam Moving Wall, etc.)
– Highway Clean-up (once a quarter – helping to keep our community trash free)
Ladies Auxiliary, Legion Riders, Sons of American Legion

National Security:

– Support of our Military
– Support of Homeland Security

Veteran Affairs & Rehabilitation:

Post Service Officer – aids in VA medical in-processing and claims compensation, employment, and health & wellness – Call for an appointment at (859) 429-0750

– Our current Commander is the Manager of the Welcome & In-Processing Center at Tristate Veterans Community Alliance (TVCA).
